AdBlue 10L

AdBlue is a Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) used with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology to reduce harmful emissions from diesel engines. It is not a fuel additive. When injected into the exhaust system, AdBlue breaks down nitrogen oxides (NOx) into harmless nitrogen and water vapour. The name AdBlue® is a registered trademark of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), but it has become the most widely recognised form of DEF worldwide.
 
AdBlue® is a high-purity solution consisting of: * 32.5% urea of ultra-high purity * 67.5% deionised water
It is colourless, non-toxic, and specifically formulated to meet the requirements of most modern diesel engines.
 
The use of AdBlue® (or other DEF) is mandatory for many diesel vehicles in New Zealand, particularly:
Heavy-duty trucks and buses
Construction and agricultural machinery
Diesel vehicles required to meet Euro 6 or equivalent emission standards
 
Requirements depend on the vehicle’s age, engine type, and emissions certification.
